CAPITAL CREDITS
According to the By-Laws of the Cooperative, any amount
paid for electric service by a member in excess of the
costs incurred by the Cooperative will be allocated
as Capital Credits to Current year members. By Definition,
Capital Credits are the monies available to the Cooperative
in excess of operating costs and expenses. This capital
is credited to an account in each member’s name
based on the Capital Credit factor as determined by
the margins of the Cooperative. Each member/consumer’s
Capital Credit allocation equals the account’s
share of the margins based on annual patronage.
When you are no longer an active member of the Cooperative,
it becomes your responsibility to keep the Cooperative
informed of your current address so that refund checks
will reach you.
